Permanent Eyeliner Before & After…
The lash enhancement treatment is a three–part process. The price include all three stages:
THE CONSULTATION
We will talk in great detail about the look you are trying to achieve. This is very much a two-way conversation. Once we have an idea of the look you are aiming for, we draw the eyeliner on with a makeup pencil. This can be drawn on and adjusted 50 times if necessary! We will never begin the tattoo process until you are completely happy with what it is going to look like.
THE TREATMENT
Using a specialist facial tattooing machine, which works at a much lower frequency than a standard tattoo machine, we gently apply pigment to the eye area using very fine needles. The sensation is that of an electric toothbrush being held against your skin – you feel the vibrations but you should not feel much discomfort. We will always work with you at this stage, giving you breaks if you need them. The process normally takes about one hour, but it varies from person to person depending on your individual requirements. After the treatment your eyes might be a bit puffy and sensitive. It is advised you do not drive a vehicle immediately after an eye treatment.
THE RETOUCH
A second appointment is needed 4-12 weeks after your first treatment. This is usually a 30-60 minute appointment to add more pigment to the eye area. This is because as the area is healing, some parts may not ‘hold’ as well as others and you may have a few patches that need more colour. This is completely normal and everyone heals differently. Whatever the case, we advise you always come back to clinic for your retouch.

Permanent eyeliner can last between 3-5 years. This can change depending on age, lifestyle, skin type, etc. As with all PMU, it is recommended that you have a colour boost every 18 months to keep your liner looking fresh.

Firstly, the area will be numbed using a topical cream. We will then consult about your chosen style and colour of liner – there’s lots of choices when it comes to colours for permanent eyeliner, from black, blue, green, and even purple! Once you have decided this, we will map out your liner design using a pencil – this will allow you to make any amendments to your style before it gets tattooed on.
Once you have agreed on a style and colour, we will begin tattooing. They use body safe pigments and machines designed especially for treatments in this delicate area. During the process your eyelids will be numbed with a second topical cream, helping you to avoid any possible pain.
Once the treatment is over, we will perform an eye bath – this is when your eyes are flushed with sterile water in order to cleanse the eye of any residual ink or debris from the treatment. Once this is done, we will go over your aftercare and send you on your way!

Most clients report a tickling sensation due to movement of the eyelashes, however thanks to continuous application of numbing in the area, there should be little pain.

Permanent eyeliner is perfectly safe. It is a technique that now has decades of expertise behind it, and artists are highly qualified and educated in the entire process. The wetline of the eyes and the corners are never tattooed, and the eyes are closed for the majority of the treatment.

There may be some discomfort and swelling in the area for the first 24 hours, however this is totally normal and will reduce if you follow the correct aftercare advice. Do not wear any eye makeup for 1 week and avoid rubbing the eye area during the healing process (4 weeks). Keep the area dry for around 5 days, and apply soothing balm as recommended by your artist.
As with other PMU treatments, it will appear that the pigment fades, however this is part of the skin healing, and the pigment will push back up to its full colour at around the 4 week mark. You’ll be due for a retouch appointment around 4-6 weeks after your first treatment to fill any gaps and make any tweaks.
